All of our facilities are cleaned and sanitized Daily. Children are given their own bedding to mitigate the spread of germs.
Each of our Facilities are designed to engage, and promote brain and body development
Our goal is to work hand in hand with parents to create happy, well rounded, and well adjusted children. We know that our future depends on these little ones we are caring for right now. We believe that all children learn best when in an environment of joy, laughter, and love. Each child is an individual and is unique. We want to celebrate each child individually and help them understand why they are special. Every person deserves to know that someone loves them and to love themselves. Please contact us and let us show you how we can foster these skills in your child.
Childcare
We focus on building strong attachments and developing trust with these little ones by assigning a designated caregiver to each infant. That designated caregiver is primarily responsible for the infants in their care to promote appropriate development, including gross motor skills, fine motor skills, language development and music.
We have a wonderful tots program that includes gross and fine motor skills. Music is a key component for retention and is used heavily in our programs. Tots classes will focus on building relationships with peers and teachers, introductions to academic subjects, such as shapes, colors, letters, numbers, and language development through nursery rhymes, games, finger plays and of course music.
We provide an academic pre-K class for all children entering kindergarten the next available school year. Curriculum will focus on Math (measuring, estimating, recognition of numbers building with blocks) reading (letter and sound recognition, rhyming, story time) Gross motor skills (running, throwing, jumping, etc), fine motor skills (learning to hold and use pencils, scissors, gluing), Music (days of the week, continents, letters, sounds, numbers, animals, holidays) and relationship skills (taking turns, making friends, treating others kindly)
Transportation is provided to certain schools, (Please request your school and we will do our best to make it work) Before and after school programs that focus on creating and maintaining good relationships with peers and teachers. We will promote respect, friendliness, and inclusion for ALL children. A homework/library room is provided for school aged children to work on homework. (no internet)

About Us
Leap Ahead was started 19 years ago when Chrissy Mugleston (a new graduate from Brigham Young University) decided to put her degree in child development to good use. She started a small preschool in her home in Washington state. After doing that for several years she and her family moved to Springville Utah where she continued to teach preschool in her home. In 2010 She decided to get state licensed so that she could teach preschool and care for a few children. Many people recognized the superb childcare given and recommended her to family and friends. In 2019 with the help of her sister they opened up a second location in Springville. In 2022 She and her husband Lane decided it was time to branch out into something bigger and bought a wonderful log cabin near the Spanish Fork airport. It needed a lot of work, but they saw the vision and recognized that this building would provide a beautiful space to teach and love children. Lane and Chrissy have 6 boys and a tortoise named Joey.
